The Central Louisiana Manufacturing Managers Council is an association of about 50 of the Region’s larger manufacturers that meet monthly to share information common to their sector. Each company can be represented by the owners and/or senior managers.
The meeting location varies, depending on the nature of the program to be presented. During the course of the year the meetings maybe at several different member’s plants (which includes a tour), the campuses of each of the Higher Education institutions in the Region, and other sites of interest such as one of the School District Offices.
The purpose of the Council is to enhance and further develop the competitive capacity of the manufacturing sector in the Central Region of Louisiana. One of the key strategies of the Council is to improve the preparation of the local workforce by contributing to the continuous improvement of workforce development systems. The members have been very active in providing input and support for CLTCC’s Manufacturing Center of Excellence and NSU’s Engineering Technology Program.
