Youth Career Exploration

"The sooner, the better" is important in career planning
Studies have shown that exposures to occupational opportunities can stimulate  thoughts regarding career goals and strategies to achieve those goals.  Once those goals and strategies begin to take their initial form in a young person’s mind, they can begin to view their education as a critical component of the pathway to that potential career.
CLEDA has participated in the development of tools and programs to contribute to young student’s ability to become better acquainted with many of the high-demand, high wage options within our economy.  Two of the most recent examples of youth career exploration in Central Louisiana are the annual Regional Students Exploring Career Opportunities event and Manufacturing Day.
