Cool Planet to begin construction on Alexandria plant

Cool Planet will begin construction of its production facility in Alexandria immediately, the company announced Wednesday.

The plant, located at the Central Louisiana Regional Port, will produce Cool Terra, Cool Planet’s signature product, which the company says increases yield and quality of a wide range of crops when mixed with soil.

The facility, which will serve as Cool Planet’s manufacturing hub, is expected to begin production in the summer of 2019, and produce about 40,000 cubic tons of Cool Terra per year.
