Cenla Advantage Partnership (CAP)

Cenla Advantage Partnership (CAP) provides knowledge, tools and leadership for the economic prosperity of Central Louisiana.

Organized by The Rapides Foundation and a group of civic and business leaders, CAP is a non-profit organization focused on the parishes of: Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Vernon and Winn. CAP is private-sector oriented and private-sector driven. Built on the knowledge that economic development is primarily a private-sector activity, CAP builds partnerships and collaborations with educational and government organizations in order to leverage the financial, institutional and intellectual assets of all sectors.

CAP’s primary interests include:

Building an entrepreneurial economy in Central Louisiana
Using all available tools to upgrade the knowledge and skills of the Cenla workforce
Leveraging the capacity of all Cenla organizations playing active roles in economic development to achieve higher levels of collaboration and synergy
Improving the planning, financing, building and maintenance of Cenla’s infrastructure
Creating a platform for the development of higher levels of civic engagement and social capital throughout Cenla
Creating and marketing a regional identity for Central Louisiana that is based on the region’s assets, capabilities, and aspirations
