program designed to help shrimpers in the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic adjust to

Deputy Exec Director of LA Workforce Commission Visits Alexandria

Edwards, deputy executive director of the Louisiana Workforce Commission, came to
Alexandria on 2/23/2010 for one of eight regional business meetings hosted by LWC. The
meeting was part of a two-year-old process designed to reform the training of Louisiana's

Grant to Help LA Technical College Campuses
A
$4.8 million federal Recovery Act grant is expected to help area Louisiana Technical
College campuses increase the local work force. The grant award, announced last week,
totals nearly $4.9 million and will affect more than 700 students across the LTC Greater
