Shaw gets $100 million pipe contract

The Shaw Group has been awarded a contract worth more than $100 million to provide pipe fabrication services for a new U.S. manufacturing facility. The work will be added to the backlog of contracts with Shaw's Fabrication & Manufacturing division.  Full article.  

 

Shaw-built storm protection barrier nearly complete

A massive surge barrier designed and built by The Shaw Group to shield New Orleans from devastating storms reached its milestone of providing 100-year storm protection to the region. The Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Surge Barrier, which is 26 feet high and two miles long, is nearly complete, just in time for the 2011 hurricane season. Full article.

 

Shaw to help with Japanese nuclear plant disaster

The Shaw Group will help Toshiba Corporation provide support services for a Japanese nuclear power plant damaged by the recent earthquake and tsunami. Shaw will help with mitigation, remediation and recovery services at the Fukushima Daiichi power station.   Full article.  

 

Shaw gets contract to advise U.S. Department of Energy

The Shaw Group received a contract to serve as an advisor to the U.S. Dept of Energy. Shaw will assist the Office of Nuclear Energy by providing advice on research and policy development, analytical assessments and research and development support. Full article.  

 

Shaw unit wins $278 million Army contract

A unit of The Shaw Group has won a $278.2 million U.S. Army contract to provide environmental remediation and program management services at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala., the Defense Department says. Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure of Knoxville, Tenn., is expected to fulfill the contract work by Aug. 17, 2019. Full Article

 

Shaw awarded US Army Corps of Engineers contract

The Shaw Group recently received a contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help clean up sites contaminated by munitions. Shaw is one of five firms who will compete for shares of the contract with the Corps Omaha, Neb., District. Shaw's work will include munitions removal and explosives-handling management at active and closed military base. Full Article.  

 

Shaw gets contract for Corps fuel storage complex

The Shaw Group received a contract to design and build a military fuel distribution center and storage complex for the Omaha, Neb., district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Shaw will upgrade and modernize the distribution center, handling fuel storage tanks of more than 500,000 gallons. Full Article

 

Shaw gets Navy environmental cleanup contract

The Shaw Group has been awarded a share of a $250 million contract with the U.S. Navy for radiation remediation. Shaw is one of five firms that will participate in the five-year contract, which calls for remediation work at Naval Facilities Engineering Command bases. Full Article.

Shaw Completes $1.1 Billion D.C.-Area Project

The Shaw Group Inc. recently completed a $1.1 billion contract to remove sulfur dioxide at three coal power plants in Maryland. The systems will reduce mercury, nitrogen oxide and sulfur emissions at the seven units within the three plants. Full Article.
