Health Reform Expected to Untether Job-Locked Entrepreneurs

As the health reforms signed into law this week begin to take effect over the next four years, one consequence to watch is to what extent would-be entrepreneurs feel comfortable leaving their jobs to start businesses. Small businesses fret over details of health law

As business owners across the country weigh the new healthcare law, they're looking to MA for harbingers of things to come. MA's law, which mandates near-universal coverage, requires that businesses with 11 or more workers offer insurance provided the blueprint for the health law signed by President Barack Obama. Last night, our government made history as representatives voted to pass the landmark health care overhaul legislation, but Republicans in the Senate still have an opportunity to try to derail the bill. Insurance Companies Fined For Unlawfully Dropping Healthcare Coverage

Rescission is the technical term for canceling coverage on grounds “that the company was misled,” and policy cancellation happens more than expected. In some cases, policy cancellation is unlawful.
