Textron Gets $10 million Army Contract

The US Army recently awarded Textron Marine & Land Systems a $10 million contract to build 27 more armored security vehicles for the U.S. Army at Textron's plants in New Orleans and Slidell. The vehicles are set for delivery at the end of 2010. Full Article.

 

Northrop Grumman Opens Slidell, LA Expansion

Northrop Grumman’s recent expansion in Slidell, LA will retain 35 jobs from the Slidell office, create 40 new high-tech jobs and nearly 31 indirect jobs. It will also generate $1.7 million in new, state tax revenues from 2009 to 2018. Full Article.
